Class Descriptions:

Buti Yoga- Buti, in Indian Marathi, means "the cure to something hidden or kept secret." This practice is a high-intensity fusion of yoga, dance, and plyometrics. Classes combine cardio, strength training and flexibility in one seamless format.

Hot Buti Yoga- Buti Yoga without the cardio and plyometrics. Taught in a heated room of 80 to 85 degrees.

 

Vinyasa-Vinyasa ( translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. These classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes.

Fit Happens- Foundational strength class. Build lean muscle through weighted movements and resistance training.

​

Muscle Up-35 minute HIIT class using weights. Class alternates between 40 seconds of a weighted movement followed by 20 seconds of a cardio burst.

Yin-Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, meditative version of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) and deep muscle fibers.

Gentle Yoga- This class is a blend of stretching and breathing practice. This class is great for beginners or for individuals looking to relax. Class will end with Yoga Nidra, or guided meditation. 

 

Yoga Sculpt-This is a short 33 minute HIIT class with yoga postures and strength-building movements

Hot Core by Buti Yoga- Students practice in socks to facilitate fluid “drag” or friction creating resistance. The majority of movements in HotCore® build deep core strength best accessed through an exaggerated tucking of the pelvis and intentional rounding of the spine. In between sets, students move to restorative yoga asanas to stretch and lengthen. Most HotCore® classes consist of 4-5 pre-set sequences at the discretion and timing of the instructor. 

 

Yoga Sculpt with Bands-This class is Yoga Sculpt with a little extra resistance from the bands! Only 33 minutes.

 

Community Fitness in the Park- This class meets every other Saturday morning at Lucius Woods Park. This is an all-levels fitness class focused on engaging multiple muscle groups for building strength.

 

North Country Trail Yoga-Each week we pick a new portion of the NCT to hike and do some simple yoga on. Yoga will include some modified sun salutations and no need to bring a mat! When you sign up, you will be contacted by an instructor on where to meet for class.
